Grand Theft Auto 5 Review

Grand Theft Auto 5 Review

The Grand Theft Auto series needs no introduction. The open world sandbox game allows you to jump into the life of small time underworld criminals, raising them through the ranks to become kingpins of their cities, destroying anything or anyone that stands in their path.  This gameplay has attracted fans to the series for years and with this game, goes above and beyond the expectation of both old fans and new customers alike. Grand Theft Auto 5 bring alive the city of Los Santos since we had last seen it in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The game is available on all major gaming consoles and PC.

Los Santos - The World

Grand Theft Auto 5’s city feel is very smooth and unique. The city feels alive as there are real life scenarios occurring, traffic is life like and the road is always full with cars in busy areas. Much like this with the pedestrian traffic, you will find a lot of people walking around retail areas and driving slowly whereas in industrial areas it will be more spread out and less people walking around. These small details help bring the game and city to life, immersing the player in the huge world that is Los Santos.
You have the main city and then the country areas, and the landscape in the middle is amazing. The huge map has a scenic highway all the way around it that can take up to half an hour to do a loop of this vast land. The city, like in real life has areas with low socio economic status leading to you seeing more crime and different types of people and more gang activity in these areas. This technology is truly mind-blowing.

Gameplay
GTA5’s Gameplay is fast and fluid. From driving, to carjacking, fistfights and shooting , the games intuitive HUD tells the player what they need to do next and makes the gameplay run smoothly. Very little will you find yourself running around on a mission wondering where to go next, the dialogue explains it clearly and there is objectives with markers that point you in the right direction. This is the best GTA gameplay I’ve experienced since San Andreas, and is refreshing.

Dialogue and Characters

In GTA 5 you play as 3 Characters. Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
Michael’s a washed up bank robber, living the high life with his snobby wife and kids
Franklins a hood kid, growing up in crime but looking to get out of the hood
Trevor’s … Well Trevor is weird.

All characters have very interesting dialogue and the story that puts the character together is written greatly and makes you feel a sense of joy that you’ve been able to better their lives and introduce them to each other.

In conclusion, Grand Theft Auto 5 is an amazing addition to the hit Grand Theft Auto series. I would highly recommend picking it up!.
